A new training season has begun for Polyus’ athletes, part of a new company-wide project to bring together employees through sport — “Together, from Moscow to Magadan”.
At Verninskoye, the main winter sports event took place earlier in the year at the Tayozhnaya ski base. Employees from Polyus Magadan and Krasnoyarsk took part in the Night Run, part of the global environmental movement to support Earth Hour. Athletes skied three 750-meter laps. All of the participants were awarded certificates for their participation, with gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to those who came first.
The Polyus Magadan team completed a 5-kilometer run along the embankment of the Magadanka river. Friends and family members of the team also participated.
In Krasnoyarsk, a similar distance run was held across the Vantovoy bridge over Tatyshev island, with more than 500 runners taking part. 17 representatives from Polyus joined the race, representing all the Krasnoyarsk business units.
