RAEX rating agency has assessed Polyus’ non-financial reporting. It assigned a score of 82.71/100, which complies with the AA top rating range. This demonstrates the Company’s strong performance in the comprehensive assessment as well as in each of the key factors.
The assessment of the Environmental factor (AA) included programs on tailings management, maximizing water and energy use efficiencies, as well as measures for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The climate project registered in the reporting period will make it possible to reduce over 4.1 mt of CO2-equivalent emissions before 2028. The agency specifically highlighted Polyus’ consistency and attention to detail when disclosing biodiversity information. In 2025, the Company produced a dedicated Biodiversity Conservation Report, which provided comprehensive information on current initiatives for working with protected natural areas and preserving rare species, as well as plans for the future development of these activities.
For the Social factor (AA), RAEX noted Polyus’ high level of engagement in the regions of its operations, including with indigenous peoples of the Russian North. The Company and the Regional Association of Indigenous Northern Minorities of Khabarovsk Territory signed an agreement to develop a project aimed at preserving the native languages of the peoples of the Amur region. The social investment trend shown by charity projects and regional support programs was positively rated.
The experts emphasized the high level of transparency and the comprehensiveness of disclosure regarding the sustainability agenda under the Governance factor (AA). They also noted the regular and detailed risk assessments and the systematic approach to ethics in business processes.
All three factors were equally ranked AA, which proves Polyus’ comprehensive approach and focus on all aspects of its activity. The Company is consistent in implementing its strategy, which contributes to its high achievements and leadership in sustainable development.
