Polyus showed strong results in the ninth publication of RSPP ESG indices

Polyus showed strong results in the ninth publication of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) ESG indices: Responsibility and Transparency and Sustainability Vector. The indices show the quality of disclosed information and performance in terms of sustainability indicators of the Russian largest companies.

The evaluation placed Polyus in Group A of the Sustainability Vector index for the first time. This reflects the robust development of social, economic and environmental indicators as well as a consistent approach to sustainability management.

Polyus is once again included in Group B+ of the Responsibility and Transparency index, along with 15 companies that demonstrate advanced sustainability reporting practices.

In addition, in the disclosure rating for UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Polyus was ranked in Group A together with 10 companies that are leading in terms of SDG integration in their operations.

The indices are calculated based on disclosed information, including sustainability reporting. The results depend on the quality and quantity of the indicators disclosed. The sample of companies for calculating the indices was formed on the basis of the top-100 rating of the largest Russian companies RAEX-600.

"The consistent and effective cross-functional work of the Company’s experts and HSE&SD underwent a reality check for the quality and relevance of the FY 2022 results and was highly rated by the external experts who reviewed the Company’s ESG activities. Polyus faces new ESG challenges and tasks in 2023 as one of the leading companies in the industry,"

commented Alexander Kruchinin, Vice President for Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development.
