Polyus Issues Its Anniversary 2025 Sustainability Report

Today Polyus will issue its 2025 Sustainability Report where the Company’s performance figures and achievements meet its respect for places and people whose stories are intertwined with our operations. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of this Report. This edition will take stock of the Company’s accomplishments and look at its key results in environmental, social and corporate responsibility.

This year of 2026 is the Year of Peoples’ Unity in Russia. This reflects Polyus’ values: supporting local communities and caring about the historical legacy of its regions of operations have always been an integral part of the Company’s operations. The authentic ornaments used in the Report’s design symbolize this deep connection and respect for the traditions of indigenous peoples.

Issuing this Report testaments the Company’s long-standing stance: transparency of its operations, responsibility to its stakeholders, and focus on the long-term sustainability of its business. This document has been prepared in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) including the mining industry appendix. Striving to meet the best Russian practices, Polyus used the Methodological Recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Business Social Capital Standard, the National Methodology for Assessing the Contribution of Large Businesses in the Achievement of the Country’s National Goals, and was also guided by recommendations for information disclosure issued by the Moscow Exchange and the Bank of Russia Sustainability Initiative for issuers.

The objectivity of the reported data has been officially verified by an independent audit and a process of public verification in the Non-Financial Reporting Council of the Russian Chamber of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. For Polyus, the public verification of this Report is not just a formal process, but rather a means of offering its direct response to societal requests and developing a dialog with various stakeholders. The data reported in this document largely follows the feedback received during in-person meetings such as the public verification of the Report in the Russian Public Chamber, the December ESG Breakfast, and a series of events in the regions.

In 2025, Polyus continued to be highly adaptive to external challenges increasing its investment in environmental activities and expanding its support programs for employees and local communities. Expanding the use of renewable energy, starting innovative hydrogen facilities, expanding the scope of Polyus Charity Fund programs, and implementing end-to-end digital SRM systems — these are the pillars of the Company’s operating sustainability. Its detailed results are presented below.

Key 2025 achievements

Climate and environment

• 100% of electricity purchased for own needs was produced from renewable energy sources
• 32% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of Scopes 1 and 2 per ton of ore processed compared to 2020 baseline;
• 21% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 3 compared to 2024;
• Green IT project facilities were put in operation to replace back-up diesel plants by hydrogen power supply facilities at Verninskoye IT infrastructure assets;
• 95% of water at our assets is recycled and utilized multiple times;
• Further implementation of biodiversity conservation projects to the amount of 343 mln RUB. (+94% to 2024);
• Environmental investments doubled to reach 17.8 bln RUB.

Social projects

• 200+ social and economic development projects completed in the regions of operations to the amount of 1.7 bln RUB;
• 3.5 bln RUB allocated for employees’ social programs;
• The grant campaign of Polyus Charity Fund was expanded to include the new contest «Grant of Opportunities». This program is aimed at supporting educational and research initiatives of individuals and institutions to raise young people’s awareness about mining professions and develop their professional skills. As part of grant contests, the Fund supported 39 projects to the total amount of 16.5 mln RUB;
• The Company launched the Polyus Fund Volunteer program;
• As part of the third joint project with DOM.RF, a program is underway to build a new camp in Nizhny Kuranakh (Yakutia) including three residential buildings with 219 apartments, a canteen and 400 sq.m of non-residential premises;
• The Company completed the refurbishment of medical stations at Kuranakh and Chulbatkan.

Governance and technology

• Growth of 1.8 times — to 2.3 bln RUB of investment into projects aimed at achieving technological sovereignty;
• 21% of the Company’s procurement volume is with counterparties covered by evaluation based on ESG criteria;
• In 2025, Polyus continued to implement the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system to ensure end-to-end procurement process using the Procurement Management module and integration with ERP-systems;
• In 2025, the working group for tailings storage facilities (TSF) compliance review developed a 10-year road map to develop the Company’s TSF’s. It includes design, survey and reconstruction work for existing and new TSF’s.

Thus, the Company’s sustainability effort is a systemic approach to conducting its operations rather than one-off isolated initiatives. It is focused on ensuring better productivity and lower environmental impact, developing industrial and environmental safety programs, and creating new opportunities for local communities.
