Polyus donated medical equipment to the Krasnoyarsk regional clinical hospital to help combat Covid-19.
The equipment included four transport isolation boxes for evacuating patients by air ambulance. This state-of-the-art equipment will allow the hospital to evacuate highly infectious patients with any medical condition without a problem. The boxes are electronically equipped with filters and protective components that ensure the complete safety of medical staff.
Polyus also supplied the hospital with a portable gas monitor, which has the ability to perform express diagnostics of critical conditions. The monitor is capable of conducting a wide range of tests beside the critically ill patient’s bed.
On donating the new medical equipment over to the hospital, deputy managing director of Polyus Krasnoyarsk, Alexander Tokarenko, presented a letter of gratitude to the doctors for their hard work over the pandemic.
Alexander Tokarenko commented:The well-organized and prompt response of the medical professionals has made a huge difference to ensuring the safety of our employees at Olimpiada. The incredible sacrifice of medical professionals in this hospital and others is truly inspirational. The medics have shown their characters and commitment to the helping others. I commend you and wish good health to you all and all of your loved ones!
Yegor Korchagin, chief medical officer of the Krasnoyarsk hospital, commented:The regional hospital had not dealt with infectious diseases at this scale before. Our doctors and nurses entered an area that was new to them and carried a major risk to their health. I would like to thank Polyus for helping us to solve this complex problem despite the challenging situation. I consider this to be our common victory.
