Polyus Verninskoye to support youth swimmer in the Angara region

Nikita Boldyrev, a 15-year-old short-distance swimmer, who has been included in the Irkutsk region team, is already achieving leading positions.

At the recent regional tournament he won two medals, including gold in the 50-meter freestyle competition.

Nikita intends to win the title of Sub-Master of Sports, with his career being financially supported by Polyus Verninskoye. His success is even more impressive considering the fact that Nikita lives and trains in a remote village, far away from any big cities. Nikita often has to travel to Irkutsk and others in order to practice competitively.

Igor Tsukurov, Managing Director of Polyus Verninskoye, commented:

“We are delighted to help Nikita in his journey to becoming a professional swimmer. The Irkutsk coaches believe that he is very talented and has a bright future. Polyus Verninskoye is committed to providing Nikita with access to the required sports facilities in order to compete.”

Nikita will spend his summer holiday in Irkutsk training for the upcoming competition season. He is currently competing in Barnaul, where he will aim to qualify to be a Sub-Master of Sports.
