FMBA receives medical equipment from Polyus

Polyus has donated new medical equipment to the Russian Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) for a hospital in the Krasnoyarsk region that specializes in treating patients with infectious diseases. Polyus supplied the hospital with eight pieces of equipment, including hemodialysis machines, sometimes known as Artificial Kidneys.

During Covid-19 pandemic, Polyus has made multiple donations to the FMBA, including four artificial ventilation units that were donated in June of this year.

Vladimir Korshunov, The Head of Outpatients at the Dialysis Department at the FBMA, commented:

We currently only have one machine operating, which performs vital procedures for patients who have Covid-19 or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive. This allows us to implement additional measures to prevent the spread of infection. The new equipment will increase our capacity for kidney treatments and significantly improve the quality of medical care we are able to provide.
